Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

Like a bad trip you don't mind taking

This blew my mind.

It's depressing and dark and funny and ever-so-creepy and weird.

I have never EVER been so obsessed with a book.

Chuck Palahniuk is possibly the most disturbed person to ever write a book (yes, I know I'll probably take that beck sometime soon) but he is a master at developing characters.

He has a bizarre style that reflects the various psychoses of his narrators, and an ability to keep you guessing and very confused until the last page.

Every word is carefully crafted and reveals nothing of the unexpected twist.

It asks life's philosophical questions and answers them with ideas that, though disconcerting, demand some thought on the readers' part.

It is not too long, and definitely not too short, nor sweet. It will leave you breathless and numb, and reveal new insights into the world, possibly forcing you to open up to new ideas that otherwise you'd think insane. Though everything about the book screams "mentally ill individual" you'll come to understand how other people think as a result.

Brilliantly thought out, Fight Club is a thought provoking novel and definitely worth one's time.
